Prev | Next

Generally referred to as Torhouskie East this setting of three large boulders can be seen from the main stone circle of Torhouse and may be associated with it. The stones form a row and are aligned in a north easterly direction. The tallest of the stones reaches to around 1.00m high.

From Wigtown take the B733 west towards Kirkcowan. After about 3 miles the stones are quite visible on your right, situated in a ridge just behind a dry stone wall. There is no formal access to this site, as there is for the adjacent stone circle. However, if you do wish a closer inspection, please use the gate and avoid disturbing livestock.

There is a small roadside parking area with space for 2 or 3 cars at the adjacent stone circle.
